Our company has developed intervention programs for groups including sworn law enforcement; commercial and private security; public and college/university security forces/police and clinic and hospital personnel. The program evaluates your particular needs and designs a program intended for situations that arise with persons who may exhibit unusual behavior on your premise. Recognizing their symptoms and signs readily and reacting with skills taught during our program allows your staff to intervene and respond to potentially serious situations.
Our faculty is comprised of leading experts on intervention with people with mental illness, substance abuse, developmental disability, child/adolescent disorders and aging issues. Their years of experience educating and training law enforcement in the Chicago area make them uniquely qualified to prepare your staff for similar situations.
The program is for individuals with minimal or no medical background. Jeffry Murphy, president, has received state and national awards for his program with the Chicago Police Department (see Bios, Awards and Presentations). Bruce Handler, MD, vice-president, is an experienced medical/adult educator and trained (NAMI) family to family group leader. Both have family members with mental illness who have experienced crisis requiring intervention and have a passionate dedication to this program.
